Calming Effects has grown and evolved since originally opening in September of 2006. Recently expanding our location and our menu for all guests! We continue to offer the same casual and friendly ambience for our massage therapy, facials, prenatal treatments, nail care, and now for hair services. Our staff knows going to a spa or salon can be considered a luxury but for some it is a necessity. Our spalon will be your go-to place for comfort and friendship. Jackie MacDonald, BHSA, Licensed Massage Therapist

Specialization: Expertise in myofascial release, cranio-sacral, deep-tissue, prenatal, and sports massage.

Experience: Certified and State Licensed Massage Therapist with a Bachelors Degree in Health Service Administration. More than 1,000 hours of specialized training in myofascial release, reflexology, chair massage and other treatments. With over a fifteen years of experience as massage therapist.

Specializations: Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal, Sciatic, Hot Stone Massage, and Sports Massage

Experience: Certified licensed massage therapist and a Baker College graduate. Previously a massage therapist for the Ice Hawks in Port Huron.



Amanda Lech, Licensed Massage Therapist

Specialization: Deep tissue, prenatal, sinus, reflexology, aromatherapy, hot stone, carpal tunnel, sciatica, sports, and Mama Mio prenatal treatments.

Experience: Certified licensed massage therapist from Lakewood School of Therapeutic Massage with over 10 years of experience.
